Academic Integrity
How we support honest preparation
We believe the value of the International Economics Olympiad comes from genuine learning. Our guidance is designed to make you a stronger economist — never to compromise the integrity of the competition.
What we do
- Explain the rounds, the syllabus and how points are earned.
- Recommend materials and build preparation plans matched to your level.
- Mentor your reasoning — helping you think through problems and structure arguments.
- Give feedback on practice work so you can improve it yourself.
What we do not do
- Complete competition work on your behalf, or sit any part of the competition for you.
- Share live exam content, or help anyone circumvent the competition’s rules.
- Guarantee scores, medals, selection or admissions outcomes.
Your responsibility
All work you submit in the competition must be your own, produced under the conditions the organisers set. You are responsible for reading and following the official IEO regulations, including any rules on original work and permitted assistance.
Alignment with the competition
Where our guidance and the official rules ever appear to differ, the official IEO regulations at ieo-official.org always take precedence. If you are ever unsure whether something is permitted, ask the organisers — or ask us and we will point you to the official position.
